Dr. Johannes Goldberg, MD, is a specialist in neurosurgery and has been a senior physician at the University Department of Neurosurgery at Inselspital since 2022.

His scientific work focuses on vascular neurosurgery and the associated clinical research on subarachnoid hemorrhage and intracranial aneurysms. His clinical focus is on vascular neurosurgery, spinal surgery and neurointensive care.

Johannes Goldberg studied human medicine at the Rheinisch-Westfälische Technische Hochschule Aachen, Germany, and completed his doctorate at the Institute of Neuroanatomy. In 2015, he began his further training as a resident at the Department of Neurosurgery at Inselspital, with further stations at the Department of Neurosurgery at Charité Berlin and the Department of Spinal Surgery in Thun. In 2021 he obtained the specialist title for neurosurgery (FMH) and in 2023 the European specialist title (FEBNS). Johannes Goldberg completed his habilitation at the University of Bern in 2024.
